We have reached a sort of dilemma in our house. The kids have been after us to get some sort of pet and I just do not know if it is a good idea. They can really mess up a place if you do not house train them properly. On top of that, I have seen them tear up rugs and furniture like you would not believe. I like to buy expensive shoes, and I would not want to have some puppies come along and destroy my big investment. Surely, we could get them a bird or a hamster that could stay in its cage all the time. I am not sure how to convince them but I am having a hard time putting my foot down over the matter. My husband is telling me that I should just give in. She does not understand where I am coming from, though.
